The Inner Soul

Updated: Jul 6

Morality and ethics are the core compasses that direct human decisions. We naturally seek to protect ourselves and our best interests, but acts of selflessness reward the brain with serotonin. In our research, we can cite sources referencing a term called ‘The Inner Soul’, the symbol we translated from one of my dreams. Looking at texts with similar terms such as ‘chakra’, ‘mana’ and ‘core’, it's clear that many people see this as a vital part of oneself to maintain a good relationship with the world around them. So, tell me, that sinking feeling I get some days, that overwhelming negative spiral, the thing that makes me act out, is that my Inner Soul? How do I protect it, nurture it? Could we, as a people, navigate The Change by not only looking outwards but also inwards?

I’ve had my fair share of scorning, considered an outcast even amongst outcasts, but the cycle has to come to an end. Maybe then we can redeem ourselves and heal our Inner Souls.

Ephesians 6:11

‘Put on the whole armour of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.’

Our interpretation of Ephesians highlights the failings of the industry and how they are often swept under the carpet, while also acknowledging that sometimes we’re no better. Prone to hypocrisy but aware of weak spots, we are angry and have a right to be, but we also need to be resilient, cutting through hurt no matter the source - whether external or internal.

It came to me as a surprise to hear from my colleague in the music industry, Tasha Collins of Bansith, that she'd been contacted by a mysterious individual, also seemingly looking into symbols like Change. This person, however, seemed to be trying to recruit her for their own schemes. I must warn you, dear reader, to proceed with caution. Someone has machinations against us, it would seem.

Please take some time to read the letter I sent to Tasha after hearing from her.
